Lillian grew up as the middle child of a fairly well-off family on idyllic Papan Island, near the coast of mainland Megam. The islands of Megam are scattered with ruins of temples to the Dragon gods, as well as older gods whose followers died out at the sinking of Dyfneint 600 years ago, and Papan was no different. The temple ruins was a popular playground for the children of the island, and while Lillian liked climbing the vine covered walls and playing house with the other girls, she would more often than not sit and gaze in awe at the ancient beauty of the crumbling statues and sculptures scattered around the ruins, wondering and imagining about a world centuries older than she was.

She had always followed the dragon gods as faithfully as most people of Megam, and held a love for chruch choir music and reading the scriptures, but it wasn't until a school friend miraculously survived falling from the rooftop of one of the ruins before her 14th birthday that she placed her unwavering faith in the holy Dragons and seriously considered becoming a holy sister. The fact that the convent would offer her a much better education than her local school encouraged her on this path. Her only trepedation was that she would be living with strangers and make new friends, a prospect she was extremely uncomfortable with. Even while at home and at school, she would keep to herself for fear of making a fool of herself. However, her wish to learn and serve the Dragons turned out to be stronger than her unease in the company of strangers, and when she was 14, she entered the convent.

Now that she has been living at the convent for half a year, she has formed a close friendship with Mathilda, a pious girl whose unshakable conviction in the Dragons Lillian both admires and is bewildered by, and Raetha, an assertive tomboy who has taken to becoming the trio's ringleader of sorts- not that she really minds, of course- her initial fear of not finding any friends at the convent has definitely died away, but she remains as clumsy in social situations as ever.

Lillian is a sweet and honest young girl whose major goal in life is to learn and serve the Dragons in the best way she possibly can. She pours her heart and soul into anything she is passionate about. She is quite smart and likes learning about religious history, especially if it concerns the ruins of her childhood. Her upbringing has instilled in her a high work ethic, a trait that has made life at the convent much easier than it could have been. Lillian likes order- things have a place, they always have a place, and things -- usually the strange, unusual and unconventional -- that don't fit in their place, both rattles her and sparks a tiny curiousity. She is generous and very eager to please, so much so that she trips over herself trying to help other people, even to her own detriment, but she doesn't mind that at all, dealing with difficult situations with a smile that would melt the most hardened of hearts.

Despite her agreeable personality, she is shy and finds it difficult to make or hold eye contact with strangers and aquaintances, so for all of Lillian's life, she has had problems making friends. It takes her longer than most to establish relationships with others and she has problems expressing herself as she wishes. She gets quite stressed over her awkwardness in social situations and cringes every time she thinks she has made a social gaffe. Which is often. Once she is your friend, however, she will be loyal until the end.

Lillian has large brown eyes that almost always look happy and hopeful and long brown hair that goes past her shoulders. She is of average height, about 5'5''/165 cm, and is quite waif-like in build. She wears simple dresses such as the standard white gown of a sister, and is often holding a healing stave by her side 'for practice'.
